Welcome to ConnectsU, the first ever college and entertainment recruiting platform for the Dance Industry!

Modeled after the college athletic recruiting process, ConnectsU will provide aspiring dancers ages 13 & up with the tools necessary to get noticed, get known, and get on track to a career in dance!

Educate and Connect

ConnectsU is a bridge that connects dancers to industry and higher education and, it is our goal to prepare dancers early on so that once they reach that bridge, they are confident and strong enough to cross it!

Acknowledge and Reward

ConnectsU has provided countless dancers with scholarships, conditional acceptance awards, internships and more through our network of industry and high education partners! In addition, the ConnectsU program acknowledges and rewards dancer scholars who excel academically while on the dance competition circuit.

About

ConnectsU was developed to provide competition and conventions dancers the opportunity to build a relationship and share their Portfolio & Competitive/Performance Videos with industry leaders and recruiters in Agency Representation, Entertainment, and Higher Education. Here’s how it works…

STEP 1.

SIMPLY FILL OUT YOUR ONLINE DANCER PORTFOLIO AND INSTANTLY CONNECT WITH OUR NETWORK OF RECRUITING PARTNERS!

Once a Dancer Portfolio has been submitted, Dancers will receive a confirmation email from our recruiting partners letting them know that they are now a part of the network. The Dancer Portfolio is the first opportunity for dancers to connect and develop a relationship with our recruiting partners. The Portfolio will include dance background as well as academic information so that eligibility for specific programs can be easily determined and provide recruiters the opportunity to seek out potential scholarship candidates.

Step 2.

ATTEND A CONNECTSU  SANCTIONED RECRUITING EVENT AND HAVE YOUR COMPETITION/PERFORMANCE VIDEOS SHARED WITH OUR NETWORK OF RECRUITING PARTNERS!

As part of the program, ConnectsU competition and convention participants consent to have their videos shared with our network of recruiting partners who provide judges and choreographers with their respective program criteria. Competition judges and convention choreographers then look out for those dancers who meet any of the criteria and provide referrals based on each dancer’s individual performance. At the conclusion of ConnectsU events, a detailed report along with judges/choreographer rankings is generated and sent to each recruiting partner who will then have the opportunity to hear each judges/choreographer’s comments while watching the videos and reviewing the rankings. Rankings and referrals are in no way based on scores, but rather the dancers ability to meet criteria for respective recruiting partner programs.

Step 3.

REGISTER TO ATTEND SPECIAL EVENTS HOSTED BY THE CONNECTSU NETWORK OF RECRUITING PARTNERS

This is your chance to put a face to your Portfolio and get to know our partners and what they are looking for in an artist. Auditions, Showcases, ID Camps, Concerts and other Special events will be offered exclusively to ConnectsU dancers. These events have been designed to sharpen your skills and introduce you to many other aspects of the industry as well as the best path on how to get there. Special Events often include seminars for the parents as well as evaluations of your performance at the camp.

Take advantage of this opportunity to get noticed and start building the bridge to your future today!
